Hanson Nature Center To Welcome the Blank Park Zoo

Everyone is invited to the Hanson Nature Center on Sunday, August 16th , for a
presentation by the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines The program will begin at 1:00 PM
and last about an hour.
The Blank Park Zoo has been bringing conservation education programs to
people throughout the state of Iowa since 1990. Their mission through these programs
is to inspire an appreciation of the natural world through education and outreach. They
accomplish this goal by creating engaging and memorable education experiences
wherever they travel! When the Zoo visits the Hanson Nature Center, they will be
bringing a few live animals to enhance their presentation. So, the event will provide a
unique opportunity for people to see some live animals “up close and personal!”
The program on the 16th will be free and open to the public. No preregistration is required. After the program, people will also have the opportunity to browse throughout the nature center to view the various displays.
