The Iowa State University Research Farm in Kanawha will be presenting a seminar on Tuesday, August 4th from 6:30pm to 8pm entitled “Water Matters!” It is hosted by Hancock & Winnebago County members of the North Iowa County to County Collaboration.
The goal of this forum is to raise awareness and commitment to action about Iowa’s water quality issue that affects where we live, from drinking water and recreation to economic development and the environment a chance for the community to come together to learn, to engage together with experts in the field – academic to agriculture to community action – and to explore what action they can each take to make a difference on this critical issue.
Several local speakers will participate including Zack Smith who is a farmer from Buffalo Center, Mark Kingland of Lake Mills, and Chris Heyer, County Sanitarian for Hancock & Winnebago Counties. Several notable speakers will also participate. The public is encouraged to attend.
