UNI hires former assistant, current Iowa State assistant Kyle Green as head men’s basketball coach

The University of Northern Iowa has announced the hiring of Kyle Green as its next head men’s basketball coach.

Green has agreed to a five-year contract to become the Panthers 26th head coach in program history.

Green returns to UNI where he previously spent 16 seasons as an assistant coach in three separate stints. His coaching career has spanned 30 years across multiple NCAA divisions, most recently as an assistant at Iowa State the past five seasons.
