Forest City EMS To Receive SIM-IA Training Saturday

In partnership with Forest City Ambulance Service, the Simulation in Motion-Iowa (SIM-IA) mobile education truck will be in Forest City on December 13 to provide hands-on clinical education for local EMS personnel and students.
SIM-IA is a statewide mobile education program delivering high-quality, evidence-based clinical training to EMS providers, hospital teams, businesses, and community members across the state. Each semi-sized mobile simulation truck emulates an emergency room bay and an ambulance, includes video recording for analysis and debriefing, and houses six advanced patient simulators capable of mimicking realistic human responses.

SIM-IA’s education team will train Forest City EMS personnel and students in infant RSV, pediatric allergic reaction, and adult medical and trauma topics. Participants will engage in realistic, scenario-based learning using state-of-the-art simulation equipment inside the SIM-IA mobile simulation truck.

The training session begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 13 and lasts approximately seven hours at 105 Highway 69 South in Forest City
