West Hancock Community Schools Celebrate Homecoming this Week
The Theme this Year is "Around the World"

Homecoming week is in full swing at West Hancock, with activities already underway! The fun started on Sunday October 5 with Powderpuff Football and HeMan Volleyball.
Monday marked the first day of week long “dress up days”. Each days theme are:
- Monday – Pajama Day
- Tuesday – Tourist Day
- Wednesday – Teacher/Student Swap
- Thursday – Class Color Day
- Preschool / K-Prep – Pink
- Kindergarten – Purple
- 1st Grade – Green
- 2nd Grade – Yellow
- 3rd Grade – Blue
- 4th Grade – Black
- 5th Grade / Freshman – Pink
- 6th Grade / Sophomores – Purple
- 7th Grade / Juniors – White
- 8th Grade / Seniors – Blue
- Friday – Spirit Day
Monday night, the JV West Hancock football team takes on the Emmetsburg E-Hawks at Sanger Field starting at 6PM!
Tuesday is all about the Volleyball teams, as they hit the road to battle Bishop Garrigan in Algona. JV begins at 5:15PM, JJV at 5:50PM, and the varsity match scheduled to start at 7PM. If you are unable to make it to the game, we’ll have the game on KHAM B103 103.1 FM as well as the West Hancock Video Stream.
On Thursday, the Homecoming Parade will take place starting at 6:45PM. The parade is open to businesses, organizations, and community members as well, so come out and show some Eagle Pride! Line-up starts at 6:30PM west of the Britt Food Center.
Following the Parade, the Homecoming Commencement Ceremony will take place in the West Hancock High School Gym starting at 7:15PM.

Finally, on Friday night the #1 ranked West Hancock Eagles football team will host the West Fork Warhawks. It will also be senior night for the football team as well. So come out and cheer on your Eagles as they look to secure a district title! If you’re unable to make it to Sanger Field, the game will be broadcast on KHAM B103 103.1 FM and streamed live on the West Hancock Video Stream. Pregame starts at 6:30PM, with kickoff set for 7PM!
