The Garner City Council is looking to finish the UV disinfection project in the city’s wastewater treatment plant. Garner Mayor Tim Schmidt explained that the project is in the bid letting stage.
The city wants the project to get underway and completed as soon as possible so they have set a date and time for it to move forward.
Schmidt explained what the city has to update in the system.
Councilman Don Bell explained that the city has been trying to complete the project but has run in an unlikely obstacle.
The city approved the dates for the public hearing and bid letting.
